Biography

This man is a fighter. A MotoGP™ rider since 2005, many have now written off his prospects of ever becoming World Champion, but while he remains with Honda's factory team anything is possible. The diminutive Spaniard – 51kg! – won his 29th MotoGP™ race at San Marino in 2016 but two events later broke his collarbone after he was viciously snapped over the bars in Japan.  That saw him out for the year, but he's now recovered and ready for another tilt at the title. This will be Dani's 17th year as a World Championship rider — and every one of those seasons has been spent on Honda machinery. Pedrosa was the 125cc world champ in 2003 and then won the 250cc title in 2004-2005, and has since been runner-up in the MotoGP™ title three times — and only once outside the top five.
