Campers set for 1000cc wake-up call

Campers at the Michelin® Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix 2017 have plenty to look forward to, from new and improved facilities to the spine-tingling wake-up call of 1000cc.

At the #AusMotoGP, you can sleep over at the circuit and rise to the sweet shrill of the world’s best riders flying down Gardner Straight at over 300km/h.

The Trackside Campground is as close as you can sleep to the track without lying on the tarmac. Overlooking the southern sections of the circuit, campers experience the sunrise over Bass Strait from the comfort of their very own tent.

Have a caravan or campervan? Head to the Highside Campground. Located to the west of the Southern Loop, all vehicles – including motorcycles, cars, caravans, campervans, buses and motorhomes – can be accommodated here.

This family-friendly area is also the perfect place to educate the next generation of MotoGP™ fans.

Campground facilities have been upgraded in both Trackside and Highside – including new walkways and roads, and improved toilet and shower facilities – adding greater levels of comfort for 2017.

Wherever you camp, it’s a license to talk two wheels for three days straight, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a memorable experience at The Island.

Access to campgrounds in 2017 is available from 9.00am on Thursday 19 October until 12.00pm on Monday 23 October.

A valid circuit entry ticket must also be purchased and is required to be presented each time you enter the circuit. Click below for more information.
