The last time Randy de Puniet won a Grand Prix was back in 2005, when he was riding a 250cc Aprilia in the British round of the World Championship. But the 32-year-old Frenchman scored arguably the biggest win of his life in December when he married Australian model Lauren Vickers, his former grid girl. MotoGP’s full-time Frenchman finished 13th in 2012, a season that saw him switch to Aprilia/ART in the CRT ranks after MotoGP stints on Kawasaki, Honda and Ducati machines. He totalled 62 points in 2012 with a best result of eighth achieved at Assen and Brno. Back in 2010 he had a stellar start to his season on a Honda but broke his leg at the Sachsenring to halt his progress. Randy is back on the Aspar ART bike in the CRT category for 2013, his seventh straight season in the top flight.
