  • Facility Information

    VIP Facility Opening and Closing Times

    Dress Code

    Smart casual attire is recommended within VIP facilities. Closed shoes are recommended due to the nature of the circuit, and we suggest that you dress suitably in case of inclement weather. A warm jacket is recommended.

    Please note that clothing with offensive artwork or slogans will not be permitted in corporate facilities.

    Host Information

    The Australian Grand Prix Corporation will provide a host in each shared facility as your primary point of contact during the event. Feel free to liaise with them for any assistance you might need on the day.

    Official Programs

    For every three day VIP shared ticket purchased to the 2012 AirAsia Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix, you are entitled to one official program.

    To redeem your program, you will need to present the voucher (enclosed in your VIP Hospitality ticket pack) to your facility host during the event and they will exchange it for you on the spot.

    Pit Roof VIP Village information

    Get to the island - Bus

    For your convenience, VIP Village Platinum and Gold patrons are advised to enter the facility via the southern stairwell (pictured left).

    All VIP Village Silver patrons can access the facility via the northern stairwell (please note you will not be able to access from the southern stairwell end closest to VIP Village Platinum). Please walk behind the MotoGP paddock to access the northern stairwell.

    Wheelchair Accessibility

    The Australian Grand Prix Corporation endeavours to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all patrons at our event, including persons with a disability. Our corporate facilities Pit Roof VIP Village Platinum, Gold and Red Line Club have wheelchair access.

    For transport within the circuit our wheelchair accessible shuttle service will be running throughout the event. For more information, see ‘Shuttle Bus’ below.

    Smoking Prohibitions

    Smoking is not permitted within any VIP Hospitality facilities at the 2012 AirAsia Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix. Smoking is permitted in the outside garden areas of your facility (where applicable). Please ask event staff for confirmation of designated smoking areas.

    All Pit Roof guests are reminded that smoking is not permitted on the viewing areas outside the facility overlooking Pit Lane and on the viewing decks located at the south (Platinum & Gold) and north ends (Silver) of the Pit Roof VIP Village facilities.

    There is no smoking permitted in Pit Lane at any time. Smoking is permitted at the north and south ends of Pit Roof at the base of the stair wells near the Cafe and Pit Lane Walk assembly area.

  • Catering

    VIP Facility Food Service Times

    We endeavour to coordinate our food service times with the track schedule so you don’t miss any of the action. Lunch is usually served between 12pm and 2pm. A more specific outline of the food service times will be available soon.

    VIP Facility Bar Opening And Closing Times

    All bars in corporate facilities will open at 9am and close half an hour before the facility closes. Bar opening and closing times are as follows:

    • Friday 26 October 9.00am to 6.00pm
    • Saturday 27 October 9.00am to 6.00pm
    • Sunday 28 October 9.00am to 5.30pm
    • Glassware Restrictions
    • For your own safety and the safety of others, all glassware (including bottles) is not permitted to be taken from VIP Hospitality areas. If you would like to finish a beverage outside your corporate facility, plastic cups will be provided to you by catering staff.

    VIP Facility Menus and Beverages

    Created by the talented Chefs at Peter Rowland Catering, menu items feature a range of local produce with different international themed buffet lunches each day. Menus for VIP Hospitality Suites are below:

  • VIP Hospitality Wristbands

    About The Wristbands

    Introduced for 2012, you will only require your VIP Hospitality wristband to gain access the circuit and your corporate facility. To allow flexibility, separate VIP Hospitality wristbands are issued for each day of the event. Please be aware that they are non-transferable on any one day. Daily colour-coded wristbands are printed with your nominated VIP Hospitality Facility name and location.

    Upon your arrival at the event, please ensure you have your VIP Hospitality wristband for the appropriate day. You will not be able to enter the circuit or your facility without this item. Wristbands must be worn on your wrist at all times and only allow access to the facility nominated on the wristband. Access to other VIP facilities, grandstands and other restricted areas will not be permitted.

    VIP Hospitality Packs

    Upon full payment of your booking you will receive a VIP Hospitality pack. Your pack will contain the following items:

    • Welcome Letter
    • Serial numbered VIP Hospitality wristbands (Event ticket - one for each day)
    • Car / Motorcycle parking tickets (if applicable)
    • Pit Lane Walks passes (if applicable)
    • Circuit Map and Transport Guide (one per ticket)
    • Official Program voucher (one per 3 day ticket)

    VIP Hospitality Pack Distribution/Collection

    Get to the island - Bus

    Closer to the event your VIP hospitality pack will be sent out to you via registered post (unless otherwise specified by your Sales Executive). Please note that the address supplied on your booking form will be the address your pack is sent to.

    For any late bookings, VIP hospitality packs will be available for collection on circuit at the Gate 2 VIP Hospitality Ticketing Office (off Back Beach Road, Philip Island).

    This office will be open during the following hours:

    • Thursday 25th October 9.00am - 5.00pm
    • Friday 26th October 7.30am - 5.00pm
    • Saturday 27th October 7.30am - 5.00pm
    • Sunday 28th October 7.00am - 4.00pm

    Lost and Stolen Wristbands

    To gain entry to the Phillip Island Circuit for each day of the 2012 AirAsia Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix, you must wear that day’s corresponding wristband. In accordance with the VIP Hospitality Standard Terms and Conditions (Clause 8.1), the client acknowledges that AGPC is under no obligation to replace any ticket, credential, pass, lanyard or wristband which has been lost or stolen. AGPC reserves its right to replace a lost or stolen ticket, credential, pass, lanyard or wristband and charge a fee for its replacement, in its discretion. We strongly advise that you choose a safe and secure method of forwarding tickets onto your clients and guests (Registered Post or Courier Delivery).

  • Pit Lane Walks

    General Information

    This service offers an opportunity to take a closer look at the Pit Lane action. It is applicable to Pit Roof Village Platinum & Gold patrons, and patrons with a Pit Lane Walk pass.

    Pit Roof Village Platinum & Gold patrons: Your relevant daily VIP Hospitality wristband provides access to Pit Lane Walks for the times scheduled below.

    Other VIP Hospitality patrons: Your relevant daily Pit Lane Walk pass together with your relevant VIP Hospitality wristband provides access to Pit Lane Walks for the times scheduled below.

    Assembly Point

    Please assemble at the Northern End of Pit Lane 15-minutes prior to the departure time, and ensure you are wearing the relevant passes (as outlined above). Your facility host will be aware of Pit Lane Walk times, so if you are unsure during the day feel free to ask them. Late arrivals may not be permitted to participate.

    Important Information

    Get to the island - Bus

    Patrons are reminded that video, motion picture cameras or sound recorders are not permitted to be carried or used on the Pit Lane Walk. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times and without limitation enter at their own risk. We recommend that children bring ear protection with them as it can be noisy along Pit Lane. Complimentary earplugs are available from your VIP Hospitality Facility. There is strictly no smoking in Pit Lane. Pit Lane Walk passes are not available for purchase.

    *Schedule subject to change. An updated Pit Lane Walk schedule will be available on the facility posters in your VIP Hospitality Facility. Delays on circuit or alterations to the race programme may impact Pit Lane Walk starting and finishing times.

    Campsites are conveniently located adjacent to the circuit and are available for the full three days of the event. Campgrounds offer bar facilities, catering, toilets, hot showers and some entertainment. Click here for more information.

    Parking

    If your VIP Hospitality pack includes parking you will receive your car or motorbike parking tickets in your Hospitality pack. The circuit car and motorcycle parking areas are located outside the circuit gates and are accessed via Visitor Centre Drive. These are only a short distance from the main entries at Gate 1 and 7. Please refer to the Circuit Map and Transport Guide for more information.

    If you are parking in the circuit car park you will be instructed to park in an area based on your return destination, either Cowes return or Melbourne return. This is to assist large volumes of traffic leaving the circuit at the conclusion of each day. Please follow the directions given by parking staff.

  • Shuttle Bus

    VIP Hospitality Shuttle Bus Service

    To help you move quickly and easily around the circuit, an exclusive internal VIP shuttle bus service will operate continuously during gate opening and closing times during the event. The VIP shuttle bus service pick up/drop off points are displayed on the circuit map (refer to the black bus). There are two routes for the bus. The red route travels from the outfield (originating at the Red Line Club) to the infield, and the yellow route travels from the car park (near gate 1) through to the infield. To catch the shuttle, simply wait at any of the signed pick up points and the shuttle will drop you at the stop closest to your VIP Hospitality Facility. To return to Gate 1, 3, 7 or the circuit parking area, simply wait for the continuous shuttle at your closest stop. To view a Circuit Shuttle Services map click here.
