Australia is in the grip of a bushfire tragedy and needs your help.
Harnessing the generosity of our wonderful global motorsport community, it is hoped to raise much-needed funds for critical relief, recovery and support efforts.
Each Australian state government has established its own bushfire disaster appeal, with 100% of all donations being directed to support communities across the country.
To access each state’s appeal, please visit The Community Enterprise Foundation.
Furthermore, the Australian Red Cross and the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal operate on a national footprint and are heavily involved in a range of charitable efforts.
- Australian Red Cross: The Australian Red Cross provides support to fire-affected communities across Australia, offering a range of initiatives including emergency financial assistance packages and long-term recovery programs.
- Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR): The FRRR Disaster Resilience and Recovery Fund offers grants to support a variety of regional community needs, such as the rebuilding of vital community infrastructure and ensuring psychological support is available.
The Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix and the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix are both held in Victoria, and the Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) is funded by the Victorian Government.
Below are two Victorian-based charitable organisations for your further consideration:
- Country Fire Authority (CFA): The CFA is a volunteer firefighting organisation and a partner agency of the AGPC. Members of the CFA form part of the emergency services contingent at the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix.
- Wildlife Victoria: Donations to Wildlife Victoria are distributed to wildlife shelters and carers to help rebuild enclosures and equipment lost in the fires.
The bushfire risk in Australia is far from over and any support you can provide will go a long way to help those in need.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
