Jack Miller will be looking for redemption at Phillip Island after a tough outing at Motegi.
After starting the Japanese GP from the front row of the grid, Miller failed to finish as Marc Marquez took the chequered flag.
Miller looked in good shape across the weekend, qualifying third and gaining a position on the first lap.
But gambling on soft tyres, the Australian struggled to maintain grip while battling in eighth position and crashed out on Lap 11.
"It's a shame because the weekend was really positive," Miller said.
"The race pace wasn't bad and I felt like I could close the gap to [Alex] Rins and [Andrea] Iannone but after [Johann] Zarco overtook me, I made a mistake in braking and crashed.
"Now we go to Australia and I want to do well in my home GP."
