Legends on Two Wheels presented by Spokes.com.au

Two former MotoGP™ world champions will be key ambassadors for next week's 'Legends on Two Wheels' sessions in the lead up to and during the 2015 Pramac Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix.

Transport Accident Commission (TAC)’s Spokes.com.au will be presenting legends Wayne Gardner, Mick Doohan, former World Superbike Champion Troy Bayliss and Moto3™ rider Remy Gardner who will be providing their insight into how crucial road safety is for any rider.

TAC Road Safety Manager Jessica Truong said the TAC-sponsored sessions will offer fans a wonderful opportunity to hear insider tips from legends of the sport on how to prepare for the perfect ride.

"Gardner, Doohan and Bayliss are three of the biggest names in the history of Australian motorcycle racing. This is a great opportunity for fans to hear first-hand what they have to say about road safety,” Truong said.

“While Wayne, Mick, Troy and Remy will have stories to share about their time on the world stage, they will also discuss the importance of protective gear and the fact that we all share a mutual responsibility to be safe every time we take to the roads.”

Wayne, Mick, Troy and Remy will be speaking at the TAC’s Spokes Lounge which is open to all fans throughout the event weekend and will also be appearing in a road safety video on the spokes.com.au website.

Gardner says road safety plays an instrumental role in his son Remy’s career - on and off the track and he is thrilled TAC is behind him.

“In Remy’s personal time he rides a scooter 125cc and understands the significance of road safety and wearing the correct riding apparel. I am excited that the importance of road safety is being shared with riders of all ages and backgrounds,” Gardner said.

“It will be great to get the fans involved and give them a real insight into what motorsport entails – Mick, Troy and I will hopefully leave the fans with a message they won’t forget.”
