Australian rider Jack Miller claimed his seventh straight top-10 finish at the Spanish GP on Sunday.
Starting from 12th on the grid, Alma Pramac Racing rider was left to rue a bad start before working his way through the field.
Mille, who was in a battle for a spot on the podium at one point, ultimately settled for P6 after Valentino Rossi mounted a successful attack for P5 on the last lap.
Marc Marquez won the race, with Johann Zarco and Andrea Iannone completing the podium as several riders - including Cal Crutchlow, Andrea Dovizioso, Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa - crash out.
“I’m happy with this result. It was a good race," said Miller.
"It is clear that there have been some crashes, but I have long been close to the group of the podium.
"I fought with Valentino who has a “little more” experience than me, then I couldn’t keep the fifth position.
"It’s a great weekend for the team and this gives me great confidence.”
