Remy Gardner has bounced back from the disappointment of not being able to start from the front row of the Moto2™ grid at the British GP with a spirited performance at the San Marino GP.
Gardner qualified second at Silverstone a fortnight ago before the race was cancelled following heavy rainfall.
While the Aussie had an unfortunate crash in qualifying at Misano on Saturday, he rode a strong race on Sunday to finish in 12th place.
Starting from 19th on the grid, Gardner benefited from a lightning start and made some decisive passes to add four more points to his Moto2™ season tally.

"In the end it wasn't such a bad race and the result definitely made up for what happened in qualifying," Gardner said.
"You can never say what would or could have happened if I had not gone down in qualifying, but we were closing in on the top 10 at the end of today's race, so I think that could have been possible.
"We move on to Aragon before we start the flyaways and I am looking forward to building on today and ending the season on a high."
