It's currrently one of the most hotly contested categories on the world stage and it is being adopted in domestic categories the world over. And no wonder – the relatively new Supersport 300 class delivers close and thrilling racing.

With plenty of up-and-coming Australian talent all vying for a coveted spot not only on the podium at what is the biggest international racing event on the calendar, but also in front of the world’s most influential Grand Prix teams.

There will be the likes of Lachy Taylor (Yamaha), Hunter Ford (Yamaha) and Mitchell Kuhne (Yamaha) banging ’bars and trading paint with the 2016 Phillip Island Supersport champion Callum Spriggs (Kawasaki) in the talented field all racing towards a single goal.

Six models across five different manufacturers have been homologated to compete in the 2018 event and with competitors restricted to just four tyres from the start of qualifying to the end of the fourth race, it’ll come down to a battle of talent and bravery.

With the presentations held on the international podium directly above pit lane, there will be plenty to play for!
