Wild Card applications now open for Australian GP 2019
Motorcycling Australia is now accepting applications for Wild Card riders to compete in the MotoGP™ and Moto3™ classes at the Pramac Generac Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix 2019.
This opportunity will allow four Australian riders (two each in MotoGP™ and Moto3™) the opportunity to compete against the world’s best at the iconic Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit on 25-27 October.
The last rider to Wild Card was Tom Toparis back in 2017, who piloted his Kalex KTM to a 22nd-place finish.
Aussies Mike Jones and Bryan Staring also raced in the MotoGP™ and Moto2™ classes as replacement riders for Alvaro Bautista and Bo Bendsneyder respectively at the 2018 event.
Those selected this year will have the honour of representing Australia on the world stage and the chance to display their talent in front of a worldwide audience.
Applications close Wednesday 15 July 2019 and can be completed at ma.org.au
