Summary

Start your journey on the Monaro Highway and travel south, all the way through to Cann River in Victoria. Take the Princes Freeway west towards Lakes Entrance, once reaching Morwell exit onto the Bass Highway which, if you continue to follow, will take you into the world-famous Phillip Island.

Guide

Consider making a stop in Cooma for a coffee and a break at 123 Coffee House. This establishment is very popular with locals for great food, friendly service, tasty breakfasts and memorable burgers.

SPOKES TIP: It has been a tragic start to the year on Victorian roads, with 172 people losing their lives in the first seven months of 2019, compared to 114 in 2018.

Pull over in Lakes Entrance for some sensational wine and grazing food at Wyanga Park Winery. The family run winery offers free tastings on a daily basis and fresh produce and quality ingredients make Henry’s Cafe - on site - busy on a regular basis.

SPOKES TIP: We need all road users to slow down and take care, particularly on high-speed country roads.

Enhance your MotoGP™ visit by staying at Phillip Island or close by. Accommodation is available at the circuit or across the island. You will also want to explore all that Phillip Island has to offer. Tickets for the Pramac Generac Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix 2019 are available here.

Ride Highlight

The Monaro Highway between Chandlers Creek and Cann River provides outstanding riding conditions and beautiful scenery on the edge of Victoria's Coopracambra National Park.
