Summary
Travel towards Eltham via the Northern Highway and from there, you can take Eltham Road across to Yarra Glen and onto Healesville via Eltham Yarra Glen Road. A neat back road will add interest to your journey and goes straight past the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery. From there, go through the Dandenong area using Monbulk Road towards Puffing Billy and head for Phillip Island via the South Gippsland Highway.

You can enjoy free chocolate tastings, watch more than 250 chocolate products be produced, buy what takes your fancy and relax in the all-day cafe serving up a host of treats and drinks. A huge outdoor set-up offers plenty of room to move when you’re done, too! Alternatively, you could visit Innocent Bystander for great wine and local produce.
Consider pulling in at the Puffing Billy Cafe or Earthly Pleasures Cafe for lunch or a coffee. There’s also SkyHigh in the Dandenong Ranges for great cafe food with a view.
When you make it to Phillip Island, check out The Nobbies boardwalk for a stroll that comes with spectacular, postcard views that will make you reach for your phone to take a photo.
