Herve Poncharal: Remy Gardner rounds out Tech3 KTM Factory Racing dream team

The official Australian Grand Prix podcast In the Fast Lane has released its latest episode, featuring Tech3 KTM Factory Racing Team Principal Herve Poncharal.

Poncharal has worked with his fair share of riders throughout his distinguished career, but next year’s line-up, featuring Australian rising star Remy Gardner, has the MotoGP™ stalwart excited.

“To have Remy and Raul next year, who are at the moment by far the best Moto2™ riders in the current Moto2™ championship is an honour … I believe this is the best line up that we could ever have,” said Poncharal.

2022 marks Remy Gardner’s foray into MotoGP™, but the 20-year-old and Poncharal previously worked together in Moto2™. Poncharal told In The Fast Lane, he watched Gardner grow into the mature championship contender he is today.

“From day one we worked together, I had a very good feeling with Remy, a very special feeling because you could see that Remy’s talent was very big, but he needed a lot of things … he needed to understand a lot of things about racing, but also about life,” said Poncharal.

“He’s just much more mature, much calmer. He’s a very good rider, but he’s also a very clever young man. He knows what he wants,” he continued.
