Monday, 31 August 2026
Jet Set to Rock Phillip Island on Race Day at Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix 2026.
As the final bike crosses the finish line at the MotoGP Grand Prix of Australia 2026, Melbourne-formed rockers Jet will keep the celebrations going, taking to the stage for a special post-race performance on Sunday, October 25.
More than two decades after their multi-platinum debut album Get Born launched them from Melbourne pubs onto stages around the world, Jet remains one of Australian rock’s great international success stories. Now back on the road with The Rumblin’ Regional Revue Tour, the band will bring their unmistakable rock anthems that defined their rise, including Are You Gonna Be My Girl and Look What You’ve Done.
Jet frontman Nic Cester shared the band’s enthusiasm about heading to the iconic circuit, saying, “We’re excited to get down to Phillip Island, and can’t wait to perform for the MotoGP crowds.”
Jet are no strangers to a trackside performance, having played at the FORMULA 1 ROLEX AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2024, where they delivered a hit-filled set following Saturday’s on-track qualifying sessions at Albert Park.
This year, they’ll be trading four wheels for two as they bring the energy from the track to the main stage, seeing out Sunday’s race day with an unforgettable live show.
Australian Grand Prix Corporation Chief Executive Officer Travis Auld highlighted the boost the performance brings to the overall event experience.
“We’re excited to welcome Jet to the MotoGP at Phillip Island, amplifying the already incredible atmosphere of race day at such an iconic circuit, loved by both riders and fans,” Auld said. “Having two of Australia’s most iconic rock acts, Jimmy Barnes on Saturday and Jet on Sunday, is a huge addition to an already action-packed weekend at Phillip Island.”
Included in all Sunday tickets, fans can enjoy Jet live after the day’s on-track action, with Sunday Island Pass tickets starting from $99.
