Kelso brings home points again in the Moto3™ class
Monday, 6 June 2022
The Aussie continues to gain experience.
Joel Kelso finished in the Moto3™ points once again with 12th at the Catalan GP.
After qualifying in an impressive P9 on the grid for Sunday’s race, excitement was high to see what he could do amongst the front runners.
Kelso had an outstanding start and even managed to sit as high as P6 in the early stages of the race.
Unfortunately, he quickly lost ground and was pushed back as low as 17th.
The Aussie did not give in and managed to fight his way back into the points and took the chequered flag in 12th place.
The result gave him an extra four Moto3™ championship points.
Although he would have liked to have stuck with the leading group for longer, there’s plenty of experience Kelso can take out of that race.
We’ll next see him racing at the German Grand Prix at the Sachsenring on June 19.
Another points finish for @joelkelso66 at the #CatalanGP 👏
