Start your journey by heading for Yackandandah and then head to Bright on the Great Alpine Road. Next, travel down the Princes Highway to Dargo, continue to Morwell, and then take the Bass Highway to Leongatha. Follow this through and exit at Phillip Island.

Great pizzas are available at Bridge Road Brewers in Beechworth, too, while for those in Albury/Wodonga who do travel through the High Country a lot already, there are several other options. Wineries in Milawa and King Valley are popular for a break, while Powers Lookout offers great views.
You could also take a break in the South Gippsland area, with the region boasting several outstanding spots to grab a bite and something to drink. The Borough Dept. Store (Korumburra) is popular, while Trulli Pizzeria or Meeniyan Pantry and Cellar are great options in Meeniyan.

Consider a short detour north to Dargo and the famous Dargo Hotel, take a right after Glenaladale along Dargo Road north towards the Great Alpine Highway. Be prepared for a demanding ride through the twists and turns between tree-lined roads.
