MotoGP™ legend Casey Stoner to return to Phillip Island

Tuesday, 2 September 2025

Two-time MotoGP™ World Champion and Australian motorsport legend Casey Stoner will make a highly anticipated return to the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit this October with a series of special on-track appearances celebrating his remarkable legacy.

Marking the start of his return to the iconic circuit, Stoner will lead the Homecoming Ride on Thursday 16 October alongside hundreds of fans, making their way across the San Remo Bridge to the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit. Once there, the convoy will complete two laps of the very track that witnessed so much of Stoner’s success, creating a truly unique experience for devoted fans.

The newly inducted Hall of Fame Legend will also return to the track on a race bike in front of fans for the first time since his farewell victory thirteen years ago, making special on-track appearances across both Saturday and Sunday of this year’s Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix - a homecoming not to be missed.

Between 2007 and 2012, Stoner dominated at his home circuit with six consecutive premier class victories, including a fairytale farewell performance in 2012 before retiring from the sport. In the same year, his legacy at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit was formalised at Turn 3 - a high-speed, breathtakingly fast, left-handed turn officially named in Stoner’s honour and etched into the circuit’s history.

Registrations for the Homecoming Ride Presented by Spokes will open 10am AEST Thursday, 4 September. Limited spots are available.
