An Aussie in every class.

Moto2™ World Championship Elf Marc VDS Racing Team will welcome Australian Senna Agius into the team for the forthcoming Austrian and San Marino rounds of the 2022 World Championship.

Agius will replace British rider Sam Lowes, who has been ruled out of the next two races with injury.

At only 17 years old, Agius already has an impressive resume with over a dozen national titles under his belt.

The rookie sensation is currently racing a very successful campaign in the CEV Repsol Moto2 European Championship that has seen him collect six podiums in eight rounds, putting him third in the standings.

Agius debut in the Moto2™ World Championship is a ‘childhood dream.’

The Sydney-born rider, through a statement released by Elf Marc VDS Racing Team said:

“Firstly, I’d like to wish Sam a speedy recovery. I would also like to say a huge thank you to the Elf Marc VDS Racing Team for giving me this opportunity to make my debut in the Moto2 World Championship. I can’t wait to get started at the Austrian Grand Prix. This is a big childhood dream of mine and I’m very excited to accomplish it with such an amazing team to learn from. I will give my best to represent the Elf Marc VDS colours.”

Senna will join Aussie MotoGP™ riders Jack Miller, Remy Gardner and Moto3™ rider Joel Kelso this coming weekend at the Red Bull Ring for Grand Prix Von Österreich.
