Kevin Magee: Jack's on track for another season at Ducati

Thursday, 13 May 2021

The former Grand Prix winner is backing the Aussie in.

The official Australian Grand Prix podcast In the Fast Lane has released its latest episode of In the Fast Lane, featuring Grand Prix race-winner turned Fox Sports TV analyst, Kevin Magee.

Magee joined In the Fast Lane co-host Matt Clayton and Chris Vermeulen to discuss the trends so far this season, consider Valentino Rossi’s future and look ahead to Jack Miller's chances of back-to-back wins at this weekend's French Grand Prix.

Magee was almost certain Miller would represent Ducati on the grid next year, despite him being on a one-year deal with the factory team.

“I’d cement Jack in there for next season, seeing as he’s only on the one-year contract, I think so many things are changing so fast in MotoGP … I certainly want Jack to stay at the factory,” Magee said.

Turning his attention to the other Aussie coming through the ranks, Magee said if Remy Gardner continues to perform at his best, fans will see him on a MotoGP™ bike in 2022.

“As long as he performs at his peak and doesn’t lose the plot, which I don’t think he’s going to, I think we’re seeing a very different person in Remy this year.”

“He’s popped out of his shell and is just doing what he’s capable of and isn’t losing the plot under pressure, I think he’s performing really good,” Magee said.

The podcast is available on Spotify, Google Podcasts and Apple Podcasts platforms.
