Miller: I was crying like a baby on the in-lap

The Aussie was emotional after the victory

Jack Miller has taken his most dominant MotoGP™ victory yet at the Japanese Grand Prix.

Despite starting only seventh on the grid, the Aussie had phenomenal race pace and took the race lead with a gutsy overtake on Jorge Martin on lap three.

No one could touch Miller at the front, and he went on to win the race in a commanding fashion.

The victory marks the Queenslander’s fourth in the premier class, and it might be the sweetest of them all.

"It was an emotional one that's for certain as it always is with me, I don't cry but I was crying like a baby on the in-lap," Miller said after the race.

"It was awesome, I mean, I didn't know I had that in me. It's amazing to lead from pretty much start to finish.

"When you're riding like that or racing like that, the biggest opponent you've got is the man inside your head, so I was just trying not to listen to him too much and you know, it was relatively easy to not listen to him today when the bike was working as well as it was.

"It was just a case of hitting my marks and not making any silly mistakes."

With MotoGP™ returning to Australia in just under three weeks, this win might prove to be the perfect confidence booster for Miller’s upcoming home race.
