Overlooked once by Ducati for Enea Bastianini, and again when the manufacturer was faced with a ‘use me or lose me’ decision on Marc Marquez, Martin ripped the throttle harder, rode smarter, and used the painful lessons of a title near-miss in 2023 to win the crown a year later before departing to Aprilia with the coveted No.1 plate. Mic drops don’t get much better.

Becoming the driving force behind a manufacturer who wants to climb where Martin has already scaled will be a motivator, both short-term and when MotoGP’s regulatory reset of 2027 could shake up the status quo. At 27, and with proof of concept on the plate that adorns his Aprilia RS-GP, ‘The Martinator’ is well equipped to run at the front for years if his new employer unlocks a new level.
