Born near the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, Marco Bezzecchi was always going to forge a career on two wheels, especially when you count Valentino Rossi as a mentor and friend. And while his world championship career to this point has been one of methodical evolution, the Italian isn't hiding from his immediate ambitions.

Third overall in his third Moto3 season with a hatful of wins and podiums in 2018, 'Bez' moved to Moto2 and stuck to the script, becoming best of the rest behind the all-conquering Aki Ajo-run pairing of Remy Gardner and Raul Fernandez in 2021.
All three graduated to the top flight for 2022, Bezzecchi quickly verbalising his aim to become Rookie of the Year. On a year-old Ducati in a deep field of debutants, it's improbable, but not impossible.
