Brad Binder has done plenty with KTM since he first aligned with the Austrian manufacturer in Moto3™ in 2015; the South African has won in every class, and has elevated his game as KTM has edged closer to the front of the top flight.
The only question now is whether Binder is the man who can take KTM to the summit and fight for something truly meaningful; the early evidence suggests he can.
For much of 2023, Binder was the one rider not on a Ducati who regularly fought for wins and silverware. There weren’t Grand Prix victories like there were in 2020 and ‘21 and track limits breaches bit him more than once, but if he’s being beaten, Binder is going down swinging.
Forceful in combat and spectacularly sideways, Binder has the style of a top-liner – and is showing the substance to lead KTM’s project to the next step.
