Quartararo will speak for the first time since ‘nightmare’ Thai GP
Thursday, 13 October 2022
The Frenchman will speak today in Australia.
After an early season lead in the Championship, Fabio Quartararo walked away from the Thai Grand Prix with a slim two-point lead in the overall standings.
It was a Grand Prix to forget for the French rider that saw him finish in P17 in the wet.
His nearest rival and Ducati Lenovo Team rider, Francesco Bagnaia, made matters worse for the reigning Champion with a podium finish.
Quartararo described the race as a “nightmare” on his Instagram, having skipped media duties after the race.
“Unfortunately we had a terrible race and couldn’t score a point. After a really good weekend on dry condition it rains just before our race. We used to be fast this year but somehow we had difficulties, problems and terrible feeling. I want to thanks the Thai fans and see you next year. Time to reset, train and prepare Philipp Island,” he wrote.
Quartararo will speak to the media for the first time in Australia when he participates in Thursday’s media duties.
Free Practice 1 at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit starts at 9:55 am local time on Friday, 14 October.
