Miller holds onto second place in Le Mans

The Australian took an early lead.
Jack Miller has come away from the French MotoGP™ with a second-place finish after he and teammate Francesco Bagnaia qualified first and second.
After a blistering start, Miller took the early lead before Bagnaia took the place back five laps into the race.
Miller couldn't defend from Enea Bastianini and slipped to third place with both Bastianini and Bagnaia pulling away from the rest of the field.
The two in front fought for the lead before Bagnaia made a costly error and ran wide, moving Miller up to P2 where he finished.
This marked Miller's second podium of the season, following a third-place finish in the Americas.
"With the soft tyre, I knew I had to stay calm, and I tried not to push too hard at the start," Miller said after the race.
"After ten laps, I started to struggle a little, but towards the middle of the race, I understood how to ride the bike to manage the problem."
"I managed to catch up with Pecco and Enea, but they had a better pace than me. It would have been nice to have three Ducatis on the podium today, but unfortunately, Pecco crashed."
"I'm happy with this second place because it allowed us to gain a lot of positions in the standings, so now it will be important to continue like this to try to shorten the gap in the Championship further!"
The season next moves to Italy for the Italian MotoGP™, between 27-29 May.
