Miller returns to the MotoGP™ podium after the Summer break

Monday, 8 August 2022

The Aussie rode brilliantly.

Jack Miller secured his fourth MotoGP™ podium of the season with a strong third-place finish at the British Grand Prix.

At several points in the race, it even looked like the Aussie might be able to challenge for a spectacular victory.

His call to go with the soft-front tyre may have hampered his charge to fight for P1, with Miller experiencing a loss of grip with about six laps remaining.

Fellow Ducati teammate Francesco Bagnaia went on to win the race, with Maverick Vinales (Aprilia) in second.

This result marks a great return to form by the Aussie and a strong indicator for the second half of the season.

"After a five-week stop, it's nice to be back on the podium immediately.

“In the second half of the race, I started to suffer a bit with the front tyre, which meant that the rear tyre started to wear out quickly.

“In any case, I am happy with this result, the bike is working well, and we have taken big steps forward since the Barcelona test.

“Now I want to continue working in this direction to get stronger and stronger. We are sixth in the Championship, but third place is not far away".

With Miller back on the podium, it’s sure to build excitement for his home race at the Animoca Brands Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix in October. If you haven’t already secured your tickets, now’s a great time!
