The name grabs your attention – yes, Senna Agius’ dad Jonathan was a motorsport nut growing up, so naming his son after one of Formula One’s biggest legends was a no-brainer. But the Aussie teenager, who’ll compete for the Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP team in his first full Moto2™ season in 2024, has a trio of other standout attributes.

One, his height – there’s not too many 183cm/six-foot riders in most racing paddocks. Two, his maturity – racing overseas from the age of 12 forced the kid from Camden to grow up, and fast.
And three? Agius is properly quick. Quick enough to win the 2023 FIM European Moto2™ title, and to not look out of place in a handful of injury-replacement rides in the world championship’s intermediate class over the past two seasons, snaring the first of what looks set to be a regular haul of points at Valencia in 2022.
